4 Ways to Spot a Paid Surveys Scam
This is a guest post written by Tom T. He runs and operates FindMySurveys, a paid surveys site helping people find legitimate money making opportunities online.
If you’re on the web looking for some money making opportunities, you may find that you have come across some “paid survey” opportunities. While it is a fantastic way to make some money, you’re soon going to find out that there are a lot of companies out there that want to scam you.
In order to make things easier for you, I wanted to showcase some steps that you can take in order to find a place that works for you. When you follow these 4 steps, I can assure you that you can find a legitimate survey company.
#1 Check with the BBB: The BBB (BBB.org) is a great place to not only check for business references / grades, but get a good idea on what the company is about. My rule of thumb is if the company has a rating of a B or higher, you will more than likely be safe. Anything lower than this and you should run to another company and trust me, there are a lot of them!
#2 Look online for reviews: The Internet is jammed packed with information and what you’re going to find out is that there are a lot of reviews for just about anything. You’re going to find that when you do a search, you will find some great pieces of information. The key here is to read both the good and the bad. There is going to be bad even for the best of the best, so trust your gut with this one.
#3 Look for payment proof: A good company will pay you and pay you on time. When a customer for the company posts payment proof, this is a great sign. What you’re going to want to do is just search the Internet for some payment proof. Let’s say that the company name is, “XYZ.” Search for “XYZ payment proof” to see what comes up.
#4 Look at the site: When you head to the company website, trust your gut again. What does the design look like? Do they have contact information? If you feel safe with the overall look, you will probably be with a good company.
These are the 4 steps that you want to take. When you follow these steps, you can be safe with your money making opportunities. Check out other sites such as the Pueblo government page to see how you can spot other scams such as making money on Google.
